Projekt cyclers je pokusem reflektovat vztahy ekologie a energie ve specifické situaci čistírny. Slunce zahřívá vzduch, jenž absorbuje vlhkost, vítr jej zavane do podzemních kanálů čistírny, kde se ochlazuje, kondenzuje na stropě a kape dolu na vodní hladinu – krásný zvuk, jehož energie se odráží v rezonujícím prostoru cihel a vody. Můžeme tenhle cyklus energie prodloužit o jeden další krok? Další manifestaci energie pro oči a uši? Budeme kondenzovat vlhkost ze vzduchu, energie kapek pak bude pohánět drobné zvukové a světelné objekty.

The project cyclers is an attempt at reflecting relations of ecology and energy in the specific situation of the space. The sun warms up the air and makes it absorb humidity; wind streams bring the warm air down the channels of the Old Sewage Works, where it cools down and condenses on the ceilings to form water drops that eventually drip onto the water surface - a beautiful sound whose energy reverberates in the resonant space of bricks and water. Can we take this cycle of energy transformations one step further? Another, man made, manifestation for the eyes and ears? We will 'milk' the air to get our own water drops condensing. Then, we build devices that are fed by no other source than this water drop: a drum, a japanese waterharp, a miniature hydroelectric plant that produces and stores electricity for tiny lights and sounds. 4-8 participants
Born 1974 in Italy, studied sound engineering in Graz/A and audio design in Utrecht/NL. He works in live music ( earweego with Echo Ho) sound installations (Venice Biennale 2001, exhibitions, musea) and audio programming (Inst. for Sonoaviatics) and currently lives in Cologne/D.
